• Chat (forum, ideation) - The team discusses things they want to build, or make happen, or address. Forum threads are created for each silo. A LOBBY or GENERAL thread is always wise to create instantly.
  
  Other forum thread topics common to most projects are INDUSTRY NEWS and UPDATES.
  
  Depending on your goals or industry, you might have topics very specific to a given project. It all starts with communication though.
  
  

• Wikis – This is where we collect and store information everyone in the project is going to want to have access to. Think of it as a word processor on the web. A common practice is to capture the smart things your own team says in chat.
  
  A wiki might become the plan itself for building a product, or a list of common issues with customers you want to track. Wikis become your own searchable depository over time.
  
  

• Tasks – Once you know what your doing, it’s time to lock down who is doing what, and when will it be due. Tiny Gnomes has many best practices to consider.
  
  Each task should have a LEAD and a DOER. The doer does the work itself. But the lead is responsible for making sure the instructions are clear, that the task itself is accountable (start times, end times, duration, etc.
